Ralphs and UFCW SoCal Locals Bargaining Underway

During bargaining this week, the Company and Union engaged in productive wage discussions. As part of these conversations, the Company presented an improved wage offer of $3.00 per hour over the life of a three-year contract, along with an additional $0.50 per hour for department heads.

While there is still work to do to reach a final agreement, we believe this proposal builds meaningfully on our prior offers and reflects continued progress toward a competitive and comprehensive investment in our associates. We look forward to continuing these discussions and further advancing our shared goal of reaching an agreement.

How We Got Here
The Company and Union began bargaining in January and have met 7 times to date. During the early stages of negotiations, both parties focused on contract language and operational improvements, reaching several tentative agreements.

One notable improvement includes enhancements to holiday pay. Under the updated language, 12-hour pharmacists are now eligible for up to 12 hours of holiday pay, representing up to a 50% increase, depending on scheduling.

These early agreements help lay the groundwork for ongoing discussions around wages, benefits, and other key priorities.

Next Steps
We remain committed to working together to reach an agreement before the current contract expires—one that rewards our associates through competitive wages, continued low-cost, high-quality healthcare, and a secure pension for retirement.
