Ralphs and UFCW SoCal Locals Reach Tentative Agreement

Ralphs and the UFCW SoCal Local bargaining committees have reached a Fully Recommended Tentative Agreement.  This is great news, and we appreciate your patience during this process.

With the assistance of a federal mediator, the company and union committees met for three consecutive days June 26-28 with additional days of detailed work and have reached a fully recommended tentative agreement on a new contract for Ralphs Southern California associates.

The company and the union were able to reach a fair and balanced agreement that delivers on our goals to invest in a market-competitive wage and benefits package that rewards your hard work:

Ralphs y los comités de negociación de los locales del sur de California de UFCW han llegado a un acuerdo tentativo totalmente recomendado. Esta es una excelente noticia, y agradecemos su paciencia durante este proceso.

Ralphs and UFCW SoCal Locals Reach Tentative Agreement • Top Rate Increases of $3.70/hour over 3 yrs

Ralphs and the UFCW SoCal Local bargaining committees have reached a Fully Recommended Tentative Agreement.  This is great news, and we appreciate your patience during this process.

With the assistance of a federal mediator, the company and union committees met for three consecutive days last week with additional days of detailed work and have reached a fully recommended tentative agreement on a new contract for Ralphs SoCal associates.

The company and the union were able to reach a fair and balanced agreement that is good for associates and helps to keep fresh food affordable for the communities we serve. Here are some highlights of the agreement:

Market Competitive Wage Investments

  • Top Rate Increases: $3.70/hour over three years
  • All associates currently in progressions move to next highest step with hours reset to the starting hours of the destination step
  • GM Clerk Longevity Bonus Increase of $1.25/hour over three years
  • Improved department head premium by $0.50/hour over two years for a total premium of $1.50/hour
  • Thereafter Pharmacy Technician Journeyperson Rates Increase of $3.50/hour over three years plus increased progression rates
  • New Pharmacy Tech Premium of $2.25/hour (applies to Techs who are certified, authorized and willing to perform immunizations)
  • Meat Cutter Progression Rate Increases
  • Increased Combo Clerk minimum premiums: 0-9 months minimum of $0.25 per combo hour; over 9 months minimum $0.50 per combo hour
  • One Personal Holiday for those hired after March 2004 and who have 5 years of service by 01/01/2027
  • Company investment in continued affordable healthcare
  • Stable Pension for Retirement– increased company contributions to pension fund
