Even with the extension in place, we’re aware that some UFCW SoCal locals have announced plans to hold a strike authorization vote in the coming weeks.
This vote does not mean a strike will happen—but it would give the union the ability to call one at any time. We believe threatening a strike right now is an unnecessary and unproductive step—especially with more bargaining dates already scheduled.
